FAQs
What does self-certification mean?
If you are absent from work due to illness for 7 days or less, your employer typically shouldn’t request medical proof of your sickness. Instead, they may require you to verify your illness yourself. This can be done by completing a form upon your return to work, a process known as self-certification.
